1. Discern false teachings – doctrines of demons, sayings of the world, words that seduce (v1,7)

2. Godly teachings – both in word and in manner of life

a. In word – give heed to reading, to preaching, to teaching

b. In manner of life – be an ensample to them that believe, in word, in manner of life, in love, in faith, in purity.
