* We should love one another but not indiscriminately. We must not turn our love to heretics and false teachers lest we become tainted with evil. Only the truth and the command call us to focus on Christ and His Word!

* There are 929 chapters in the Old Testament and 260 chapters in the New Testament. The chapter in the middle is Psalm 118. Interesting that there are 595 chapters before and 595 chapters after!

Anyone who goes too far and does not remain in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who remains in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. (v9)

* Love others according to the truth. Discern true and false according to the truth!
In Christ, there is no believer who is on his own.

Love According To The Truth!

1. How can we fellowship if we reject Christ and go against the truth?
2. How can we love if we twist the Bible and go against morality?

2 John 1

* Faced with the pandemic my Indonesian helper accepted the Lord and since then I led her to read the Scripture every night and she thirsts for it. In 4 months, we completed the 4 gospels and Romans. She said it would be great if everyone has the Lord! Today we read “I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live…” May the Lord continue to reveal to her and one day bring the gospel to her home country through her. ~Sandy (HK)

This is the deceiver and the antichrist. (v7)

What to Accept! What to Reject!

1. What do we accommodate in our faith? Christians do not have a choice on the matter of “love one another”. God demands it! (v5)

2. What do we rule out in our faith? Christians draw a clear line in the truth of God. Christians should explicitly reject preaching of heresies. (v10)

* Our little girl Shalom has had a fever and not able to attend school for two days now. Please pray for her speedy healing and that I am not infected, else the consequence could be serious. I am much inspired by the 4 meetings of November Special Conference of HK, (heard via the church webpage). To sum up:
1. Return to the will of Abba Father and live for His sake,
2. Live our days by His word,
3. Serve in our ministry by the power of the Holy Spirit,
4. Manifest God through prayer and unity with Abba Father

1. Love must be found in both the house of God & men � but never spoil or love wrongly?v.1�9?
2. The basis of fellowship should be laid on truth � Christ is core of our faith?v.10�11?

Balanced life — love & truth are complementary :
1. To live out the truth in love (v.4-6) — Love is not based on emotion, but the words of God. Let the Words motivate your life!
2. To stand for the truth in love (v.7-11) — we are surrounded by many deceivers. Be aware of false teachings & say no to sin!
