…But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead…( Philippians 3:13-14 )
Forging forward on the path of life:
1. Focusing on the reward — Life converges on the goal of winning the prize for which God has called us heavenward in Jesus Christ. (v.13-14)
2. Hoping for redemption of the body — In this world, we take pride in our citizenship in Heaven, hoping for the day our bodies are transformed. (v.20-21)

* Sam Kong’s condition — 2nd round of chemotherapy is over, and I am at peace right now. Just had a checkup, and the doctor indicated that after the 3rd round of chemotherapy next Thursday, I might have to do radiotherapy (there are a lot of tumorous lymph nodes, and I might need a bone marrow transplant), but everything hinges on the PET scan after chemotherapy. Because my bone marrow has not been affected before, if the third chemotherapy goes well, I pray to be spared radiotherapy or bone marrow transplant. (Radiotherapy might affect the head, neck and vocal chords; that would severely restrict my ability to speak and spread the Word.) The next month will be crucial, and I will need to perform well. Please pray that the medicines will be effective! – Bro. Sam.

* …Isaiah…said to him, “This is what the LORD says…you are going to die; you will not recover” ( Isaiah 38:1 )
Isaiah 38-40: Hezekiah turned his face to the wall, wept bitterly, and prayed to God. He did not believe that God had fixed a tragic ending, but believed that there was still hope.
