1. Teach the poor
a. About loss – greed in a person causes him to lose his faith and gain misery in return (v10)
b. About gain – godliness in a person causes him to earn contentment in the heart (v6)
2. Teach the rich
a. About loss – people relation is damaged if we look down on others, distance from God is widened if we do not rely on Him (v17)
b. About gain – prepare for eternity (towards God), share riches in good deeds (towards men) (v18-19)

* Sister LH CHOI/蔡麗霞 , when at the height of her career, was arrested for a commercial crime out of negligence. At a total loss of her worldly success, she came to know Lord Jesus. In the end she was put to jail but not deterring her faith to follow Jesus.

Jeremiah 13-14: 500 miles of life journey each way for two times is an analogy to depict how the spiritual pilgrimage of a wanderer trains and sharpens one’s spirit and the determination to overcome.
