* In Luke’s world, there were often helpless widows, penitents, innocent children, and officials seeking the way…each had his turn. God always accepts and forgives those who approach Him for help.
* Robert G. Ingersoll, a 19th century atheist, said in a speech, “I give God a chance to prove His existence… I challenge Him to kill me in five minutes! Some in the audience were so nervous that they fainted. After five minutes he scoffed, “There really is no God. I’m still alive!” But a Christian in the audience said, “Yes, he proved one thing – God doesn’t listen to atheists!”
