1. diligence in a pastor – he who honors discipline like in a fine soldier, sportsmanship in a player, tolerance in a labor (v3-6)
2. humbleness in a pastor – he who stands firm but not fighting; meek and forbearing, all for the sake of leading many to repentance (v24-26)

Jeremiah 17-19: God is the potter, man the vessel. God mars according to His will. God has the authority to recreate. God can also reshape and redo according to how man responds.
